Bio and Favorite Things

Celeste Arenas-Berenstein

My name is Celeste Arenas, and I have been working at Abiding Hope since November of 2024. I believe that having a good foundation of learning helps set a child up for success. In order to have that, a child needs to feel safe to make mistakes and then ask for help, as well as feel loved and supported by their teachers. I love watching kids grow. It never fails to amaze me how a child will make a mistake, and keep trying until they succeed, and then watch them run up to you to show off their new skill(s). One thing I love to do is teach in two languages (English and Spanish) and incorporate ASL when the chance is given. Being able to do this in such a loving environment is a gift. I love nurturing these kids' minds and learning from them how to be a better teacher and person.
