At Abiding Hope Preschool & Kindergarten, we believe in developing the whole child by meeting their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs so that they can learn and grow every day. However, children develop differently at different ages, which is why we offer early education programs designed for certain age groups:

  • Little’s Class

    Small classroom size for children ages 18 months to 2.5 years. Ratio is 1 teacher to 7 children, however we employ 1 teacher and 1 teacher’s aide to supervise this room of 10 kids.  Children do not need to be potty trained for this class.  We offer a loving environment that caters to a child’s first experience of school, and supports the foundation for beginning independent skills. Choose one to five days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with extended hours available.

  • Tween’s Class:

    Small classroom size for children ages 2.5 to 3. Ratio is 1 teacher to 8 children. Children do not need to be potty trained for this class. A loving environment that caters to a child’s first experience of school, and supports the foundation for beginning independent skills. Choose two to five days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with extended hours available.

  • Three-Year-Old Class:

    Classroom designed for strengthening social skills for children who are fully potty trained and the ages of 3 to 4. Ratio is 1 teacher to 10 children. Classroom focused around learning routines and developing social skills with peers and adults. Choose two to five days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.  to 3:00 p.m. with extended hours available.

  • Four-Year-Old Class (Pre-k):

    Classroom designed for children ages 4 to 5. Ratio is 1 teacher to 12 children. Classroom designed to prepare children for school readiness and Kindergarten. Choose two to five days a week from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m. or 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. with extended hours available.

  • Kindergarten:

    Classroom is designed for children ages 5 to 6 years of age and prepares students for elementary school. Program is for children who have completed a Pre-k program and meet the cut-off date for public and/or private Kindergarten programs of the age of 5, on or before October 1. Ratio is 1 teacher to 15 children. Choose two to five days a week, class time is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with extended hours available.

Our Curriculum

Children will explore a variety of centers during the course of the day.
Emphasis is placed on starting where a child is developmentally, and provides an environment that fosters learning.

Curriculum and lessons are designed around Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence Theory. This theory fosters the idea that everyone learns in a different way and to stimulate learning each of the intelligences need to be offered to strengthen and develop further, all learning types. The intelligences include Linguistic, Logical -Mathematical, Spatial, Naturalistic, Musical, Kinesthetic, Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, and Existential.

Lessons and learning centers are designed to enrich each of the following intelligences:

  • Bodily/Kinesthetic Intelligence

  • Interpersonal Intelligence

  • Religious Curriculum includes Chapel, prayers before snacks/meals, classroom activities/songs of praise
